Our Wedding

We met in classic millennial fashion...on the apps (tale as old as timeeeeee). We had our first date October 11, 2022 in Madison. Our mutual love for travel was immediately apparent and within 3 months we were already going on weekend trips to Las Vegas and Florida. We adopted our adorable dog, Mocha in April 2023 and then moved in together in May. The next 2 1/2 years was filled with many trips skiing, hiking, boating, eating, and drinking all around the country. On October 25, 2025, we got engaged while visiting friends in Montana and spending the day in Yellowstone National Park! It has been an amazing journey for both of us, and are looking forward to celebrating stepping into the next chapter of our lives with all of you!

Peter has been Jack's best friend since 1st grade when Jack *definitely* found a dinosaur bone during recess.  Living less than 2 miles apart, Pete and Jack were always only a bike ride away from ripping some video games, playing baseball in the front yard, or just showing up unannounced and bothering each other (it's possible Jack is the more guilty one there).  Jack was the best man in Peter's 2022 wedding, where an excellent time was had by all, despite the 90 F/100% humidity Vermont August weather

Cora and Alyssa have been best friends since high school. They both grew up in Columbus, WI where they lived until their early twenties. The pair both went off to college and moved to other places. Cora and Alyssa always reconnected after months of not seeing each other in person, and never lost our connection. Cora and Alyssa share a birthday, and always made a point to get together in late June. A few years ago, they both ended back up in the same town when they both moved to Madison. 

Needless to say, they have been by each other's side during every phase of their teenage years and twenties, and have been supportive through it all.  Alyssa is honored to have Cora by her side on her wedding day.

Drew and Jack were in the same Chemical Engineering program and the UW and became friends when at a chem frat party, Drew asked Jack what he got on the last CBE 250 exam, to which Jack was slightly embarrassed to say he got 100%.  Thinking that Jack would be a valuable academic friend to have, Drew was sorely disappointed when the friendship turned out to mostly be hanging out at the frat house and getting other people to drink with them, much to the chagrin of their other friends, who actually lived there.

Lindsey has been Alyssa's close friend since before Jack came into the picture. She is a reliable friend who is always down to hang out - when she is not working on classes for her master's degree (hell yeah, girl!). Lindsey and Alyssa have been to several concerts together, from Taylor Swift to Aly & AJ to Machine Gun Kelly. Lindsey is also supportive of Jack and Alyssa's unpredictable travel schedule, and is never surprised when they are out of town for the weekend. She once said they are the couple who make their friends wonder which state they are travelling to that weekend. Could not agree more. Alyssa is so glad to have Lindsey by her side on her wedding day.

Lindsey Salo

The 4th oldest and 5th best looking of the 5 Lindblom cousins, Ben grew up learning everything from his older cousin Jack.  How to sail, how to ski, how to do shots, how to woo the ladies, Ben has many thanks to give to his eldest and wisest cousin who in 2021 told Ben that Boston schools were overrated and to come out to UW-Madison for college.  So followed 4 years of seeing a bunch of each other and endlessly lamenting how bad the Badgers are at football.

Heidi and Alyssa met when they worked in the veterinary emergency department, and over a shared sense of humor on late night shifts. Heidi and Alyssa shared a love of hiking and just being out in nature. There were often floating down a creek near Heidi's house while day drinking, or drinking by a fire with friends (I sense a theme here).

Heidi moved from Wisconsin to Montana to be with her partner a few years ago. They now have four dogs, a cat, and two horses. Alyssa has visited Heidi twice in Montana and their bond had not changed with distance. Alyssa is honored to have Heids by her side on her wedding day.

Milwaukee Mitchell Airport (MKE) - 8 milesSignificantly easier to get to than Madison, Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport has non-stop service to most major US cities. 15 minutes via uber or 25 minute direct bus ride, renting a car should not be necessary, though there are valet and public parking options available. Chicago O'Hare (ORD)- 80 milesO'Hare, being 50x larger may offer schedules, prices, or direct flights from smaller cities or international destinations that may make it a viable option for you. It is a 75 minute drive from Milwaukee, though this can vary depending on traffic. Milwaukee Amtrak Station- 0.7 milesMilwaukee has an Amtrak Station and if you take the train to our wedding you are the coolest person ever and I will tell everyone how awesome you are.

Getting To Milwaukee

Influenced heavily by large Polish and German immigration waves during the mid-19th century, Milwaukee is home to a number of examples of European architecture. The Hilton Garden Inn in downtown is housed in an 1886 Romanesque style former office building known as the Loyalty Building originally built as a regional headquarters of Northwest Mutual Insurance. The building Features a 4 story high Atrium topped by a skylight of ornamental iron construction filled with pressed and patterned squares of glass. With an exterior of granite quarried from Vinalhaven Island in Maine, this mixture of Wisconsin History and Maine roots should make the perfect place to stay while celebrating our wedding.
